By air
Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) is the main point of entry for international and domestic travelers arriving by air. Located just 10 km from the city center, the airport is served by several major airlines, with regular flights to and from many European and international cities. Domestic flights to Paris, Lyon, Marseille and other French cities are also available.
The airport offers a variety of transportation options to get to the city center, including cabs, VTC (Voiture de Tourisme avec Chauffeur) services, and an airport shuttle that runs every 20 minutes and serves several important stops in the city.
By train
The Gare de Toulouse-Matabiau is the city’s main railway station and is well connected to the French and European rail network. TGV (Trains à Grande Vitesse) trains link Toulouse to Paris in around 4 hours, and Intercités and TER (Trains Express Régionaux) trains also serve other major French cities and regions. If you’re coming from Spain, the train is also a convenient option, with regular connections between Barcelona and Toulouse.
By road
If you’re planning to drive, Toulouse is well served by a modern and efficient freeway network. The A62 freeway links Toulouse to Bordeaux, the A61 to Carcassonne and Narbonne, and the A64 to Tarbes and Bayonne. Please note, however, that parking in the city can be difficult, so it’s advisable to book accommodation with parking or find out about the public parking lots available.
