Nice is a busy city, and parking can sometimes be a challenge, especially during major events like the Rugby World Cup. However, with the right planning, you can find parking to suit your needs. Here are some options and tips

Street parking

In Nice city center, on-street parking is charged from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm. Rates vary according to zone – always check the information on the parking meter. It can be difficult to find a parking space, especially in high season and during major events, so we recommend using underground parking lots or park-and-ride facilities.

Underground parking lots

Nice has a large number of pay-and-display underground parking lots, generally open 24 hours a day and located close to the main attractions. Rates vary according to the parking lot and the duration of parking. Among the largest parking lots are the Masséna parking lot, the Palais de la Méditerranée parking lot and the Saleya parking lot.

Park-and-ride lots

Park-and-ride facilities (P+R) are an excellent option if you’re planning to spend the day in Nice. These parking lots are located on the outskirts of the city and are generally free or inexpensive. You can leave your car in a park-and-ride facility and take public transport to the city center.

Parking for rugby matches

If you are attending a Rugby World Cup match, there will probably be specific parking options at the Allianz Riviera stadium. We recommend arriving early and following the event organizers’ instructions. In addition, there may be shuttle buses from the city center or park-and-ride facilities.

Parking for the disabled

People with a disabled parking card can use reserved parking spaces, which are usually located near entrances to public buildings and attractions.

Tips

In general, it’s advisable to limit the use of your car when in the center of Nice, especially during major events. Public transport is efficient and you’ll avoid the stress of finding a parking space.

Always remember to check parking rules and rates, and make sure your vehicle is locked and that you haven’t left any valuables in plain sight.
